The Wired Lion was established to address the obvious need for safe and well-explained answers to the questions of the personal PC user. It is our way to work with you to defeat those who want to use the internet for illegal and unethical purposes. Our aim is to help you have a "safe, simple and fun" experience with your computer and the internet. We are very much an advocacy as well as a support service.
We also know how difficult and time-consuming it can be to get clear, useable information about your computer needs and problems. We do the research FOR YOU and present it back to you in a step-by-step format. BUT MORE THAN THAT, we are available through this web site to IMPROVE AND EXPAND our information if needed.
Our effort is very much member-driven. We respond to all questions and problems presented to us and will present this information on our web site so all of our members can benefit. As a member, YOU can also participate by letting us know of any additional information you come across AND how our information worked FOR YOU!
Originally, this started as a monthly newsletter which addressed a broad range of home pc topics. We covered basic Windows usage to anti-spy ware programs, from purchasing gadgets to new trends in Internet telephone service, from basic software applications to comparisons of the various levels of Internet services. We responded to emails from our subscribers with answers to questions that were sometimes simple, sometimes very difficult (We learned as much as we taught, for sure!).
This effort grew so much that we are now expanding into this web site. Here we hope to carry our mission to the next level in 3 basic ways (at least!):
1) You will be able to contact us easily via email, regular postal service and though our quick survey to let us know how we can serve you!
2) You will be able to become a Wired Lion Member which will allow you to enter our Member Page and read all of our articles on computer issues and our answers to the questions and concerns YOU have raised. As with our past newsletter, there will be modest membership dues to help us pay for operating expenses like this website.
3) You will be able to get update notifications from us direct to your email letting you know of important changes in the personal pc world that could effect you!
